Live To Learn
Education services, namely, providing classes, seminars, workshops, tutoring, and mentoring in the field of middle and high school reform.
Live To Learn is the Grant Williams Family Foundation’s education program for middle and high school students in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through Live To Learn, the foundation provides classes, seminars, workshops, tutoring, and mentoring in the field of middle and high school reform.
Classes: computer science fundamentals taught after school at Charlotte-area middle schools, and financial literacy classes for student-athletes at Charlotte high schools.
Seminars and workshops: Hackathon-For-Good, an annual one-day build competition where middle school students pitch, code, and present apps for their communities.
Tutoring: reading literacy with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library for Kindergarten through 8th grade students.
Mentoring: mentorship delivered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas and the Charlotte Chess Center.
